We are located in Adams, WI and have been in operation for more than 14 years. Our course was developed and is taught by Joe Deschler.     Our broadcast course is designed to be 7-weeks of full-time learning and studio practice at our radio station/broadcast school in Adams, WI. Your full radio broadcast education includes all personal/one-on-one instruction, reading and listening materials, studio usage, and production of a demo CD. 

What should you expect? You will:

  • Learn from experienced radio professionals
  • Do many hours of air-time in our practice studios
  • Actually be on the air on our radio station in central Wisconsin , both pre-recorded (voice track) and live
  • Voice and produce commercials and promos
  • 15 hours of reading and listening to examples of on-air and creative commercials and promos (production)

Meet the Director

Joe Deschler

Director Joe Deschler

Joe began his broadcast career in 1984, and has worked as an afternoon air personality and program director at many radio stations in WI and MN.

Currently Joe is very involved in the radio business — as owner and afternoon air personality at Wisconsin 106 (wisconsin106.com). He also regularly fills in as an air personality on KNEI 103.5 FM in Waukon, Iowa.

Throughout most of his broadcast career, he has also been a voice talent and audio producer for radio stations, TV stations, and ad agencies (www.joecasperprod.com).

He also owns and operates a mobile DJ company, called Radio 1 Music, that offers music entertainment for wedding receptions, school dances and parties.

Because of Joe’s extensive broadcast career, he brings incredible experience and knowledge to the students of Radio1 Broadcast School. Joe knows what it takes for students to begin working at a radio station, making Radio1 a perfect place to begin a broadcast career.
