Your day includes interesting class-time instruction where you'll learn every aspect of a radio station operation, and will listen to examples of what great announcers sound like. Every day you'll have an "air-shift", production time, and private "air-check and voice coaching sessions" with your instructor. You'll quickly learn how to best use your voice, how to make your show entertaining and informative, and how to produce awesome commercials. Employment Assistance / Getting your radio career underway?
Yes, we do
offer employment assistance! Our job placement rating is over 90%. Radio
1 Broadcast School's
goal is to get you trained, and get you into your first job as a radio
announcer. There are many good entry level job openings in radio and we
want to get you there. The final days of your session are reserved for job
searches, and sending out your resume and demo CD. We are always
increasing our nationwide network of radio stations where we place graduates (as
a radio announcer, sportscaster, or newscaster). The benefits continue beyond that . . . . once you
graduate, and for the rest of your radio career, we will assist you with radio job
searches, and you'll have access to our studios (based on availability) to
update your audition CD.

Tuition?
Tuition at Radio 1 Broadcast School is designed to be affordable for anyone wanting to attend. The tuition cost is, in some cases, 80% LESS than other broadcast schools, radio colleges, and radio schools. Total tuition cost is $6,900 for all instruction, studio time, and supplies. The only item you need to supply is your own pair of quality headphones to use during your announcer training.
Payments?
We try to make payments as easy as possible at Radio 1 Broadcast School. Within two weeks of acceptance, a $100 down payment is due to secure your spot in the session that you choose. The remaining amount of tuition is due one month before your broadcast training begins. Smaller payments may be made as long as the total is satisfied at the designated dates. We accept VISA and MasterCard. We are also approved to accept GI Bill and Veterans Benefits funds. Loans are available through the SLM Career Training Loan program.
