RADIO1 Broadcast School in La Crosse, Wisconsin, has been in operation for more than 12 years. It's your radio education, done your way! You choose between our 7-week long classroom session offered in the spring and fall OR start at anytime that works with your schedule with our flexible, individualized studies. Our mission is simple..... ......to provide the highest quality, most efficient and effective radio broadcast education available; ......to develop and train our students to be the best air personalities, voice talents, and producers possible; and ......to assist them in obtaining and sustaining employment in the broadcast industry. Excellent real-world, real-radio curriculum, personal studio instruction, voice-coaching, one-on-one critiquing, and many, many hours of hands-on studio practice are the main reasons RADIO1 is a great choice to get moving towards your new radio career. Our course was developed and is taught by Joe Deschler. As part of the training, you’ll actually be on the air at the radio station we own in central Wisconsin, and you will write and produce commercials that will be aired as well. Our broadcast course was designed to be a 7-week course (full time). About 30 hours of that (reading and writing assignments) can be done at home before you come to our facilities to do your studio work. The remainder of the course (mostly studio instruction and practice) is completed at your own pace, on your own schedule, at either of our studio locations -- La Crosse, Wisconsin, or Adams, Wisconsin.  You can do it full-time in about 6 weeks or you can do it on a part-time basis that fits your schedule.  Ready to apply?
